Hey friends! Welcome to my first Fundraising Friday post! As you guys know, I have 11 months to fundraise for my World Race tuition. These funds directly covers practical costs while I am abroad, including meals, lodging, air, land, and sea travel, medical insurance, and ministry costs. The end goal is to raise $19,800. As I look forward towards this intimidating goal, I have chosen a verse to pray over and define my entire fundraising journey:

Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

There are two parts to this verse that stand out to me. First, a command of surrender; God directs us to tangibly surrender our finances to Him. Second, a promise of provision. God promises that when we give Him control, He is faithful in giving us not only what we need but more blessings than we can even handle.

That is my prayer and confidence over the next year. There is absolutely no way this trip is ever going to happen without God. I believe that every day I surrender to Him is another opportunity for Him to show up. As I am confident that WR is in God’s plan for me, I am confident that He is going to provide to make it happen.

For all who will be supporting me with my journey, I thank God in advance for your obedience and generosity! If you would like to become a supporter, you can do so by donating once or by registering as a monthly giver right here on my blog. Thank you for helping make this dream a reality!
